We announced the news last July in RVI, Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite has confirmed the acquisition of William Fèvre, in Chablis. Domaine William Fèvre has been producing wines since 1959, and long before that with the Fèvre family, by selecting historic terroirs to become one of the major players in the Chablis vineyards. With almost 90 plots of Grand Cru, Premier Cru and Chablis Village, the estate covers 70 hectares.

« For Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite, the arrival of Domaine William Fèvre in Chablis into our family of states is an exciting new adventure,” explains us Saskia de Rothschild, Managing Director of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. « The spirit of the place and its team, deeply rooted in the land they cultivate, the on-the-ground approach to organic and environmental viticulture, and the precise yet low-interventionist approach to winemaking in the cellar, are values which fit in perfectly with our long-term values. We look forward to progressing together, with Didier Séguier and his team, on the road to great white wines. »

« We are delighted with the arrival of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. It’s a strength to be able to draw on the knowledge of such a family of vineyards to exchange ideas and move our projects forward, » confirms Didier Séguier, director of Domaine William Fèvre. There’s a strong fit between who we are and the projects they’ve been developing for 150 years in their vineyards. »
